At this year's Anuga FoodTec in March, Jung Process Systems will present the newly developed funnel pump HYGHSPIN H as the focal point of their exhibition. This innovative steel screw spindle pump will enable the Pinneberger company to once again demonstrate impressively its capabilities to respond to market demands from the food industry with intelligent solutions because the conveyance of non flow-capable media provides many food manufacturers with major challenges. The HYGHSPIN H has already proven itself many times in recent months to be the perfect solution for this application in the day-to-day production.
The transport of products with extremely high viscosity is one of the day-to-day processes for many companies in the food processing industry. Once products no longer flow freely, then they normally have to be forcibly inducted into the conveying unit by external ancillary units, a difficult and not easy undertaking especially with regard to hygiene. With a HYGHSPIN H, the medium is forcibly conveyed by a hopper and via a conveying screw extruder unit into the pump. This particular design for the screws still also allows an increase in pressure of up to 10 bar. Due to the extremely high viscosity of the fluids to be conveyed, the pumps operate at a relatively low speed of up to 400 rpm. How important it is for the companies to find new methods is demonstrated by the fact that Jung Process Systems has already installed 15 HYGHSPIN H pumps for such diverse media as dough, cold chocolate mass, sausage meat, frozen fruit, corn mash and mozzarella since the system was launched in September 2014.
Standard series continues to be successful
Interested visitors to the trade fair are invited to inform themselves about the advantages of the single-flow HYGHSPIN standard series and the double flow HYGHSPIN DF for high system pressures. With nearly 2,000 successful installations worldwide, of which a large part are in the food and beverage industry, Jung Process Systems can make well-founded statements based on a number of implemented projects with regard to what is an optimal design for the pumps for the most varied application areas. These also include many challenging tasks, such as conveying processed cheese with undissolved process salts, yoghurt with fruit pieces, sensitive yeast cultures and deep frozen fruit juice concentrate.
