In many sectors of the beverage industry, and particularly in the fruit juice production, frequent charge changes are part of the day-to-day production processes. The viscosity can vary considerably depending on the product. HYGHSPIN masters extremely large temperature and viscosity ranges
Five years after the market launch, large internationally active beverage producers utilise HYGHSPIN pumps in their production plants. In particular, when viscosity and processing temperature of the products vary widely, the hygienic steel screw spindle pumps from Kummerfeld are particularly suitable. The HYGHSPIN can be utilised for example for raw materials for beverages which are stored in large containers at temperatures below zero and then transported to the respective mixing and filling lines. Pumps are required for these diverse applications, which cannot pose a problem for the thermal expansion as well as the internal back flow. HYGHSPIN pumps are excellently suited for this challenge due to their design and construction, the axial conveyor principle and the equipment with frequency-controlled energy efficient drive units which are ideal for these conveying tasks and replace in many cases two or more other pumps because they can also be used for transporting the cleaning liquid.

The biggest brewers are increasingly relying on steel screw spindle pumps to convey their products. An example for this is the utilisation of a HYGHSPIN steel screw spindle pump for transporting brewer´s grains. With this installation, two other conveyor units, an eccentric spiral pump and a spiral conveyor were replaced. With the utilisation of the HYGHSPIN pump, the brewer saves significant amounts of energy since the pump is equipped with a substantially smaller motor than the existing components. The ROI period for the new unit is less than a year. Another example is yeast conveying. Once again the HYGHSPIN pumps have proved to be particularly suitable. Axial conveying principle, low shear and flexible rpm regulating enable extremely gentle handling and conveying for this very sensitive commodity.

Product programme additionally complemented with HYGHSPIN H
Jung Process Systems has expanded its existing product programme with the development of HYGHSPIN H with hopper inlet and newly developed conveyor screw extruder unit. Now the single-flow standard series and the double-flow HYGHSPIN DF steel screw spindle pumps are available for conveying flow rates of 30 l/h up to 200 m3/h with a maximum delivery pressure of 50 bar. The HYGHSPIN H is available for the pump sizes HYGHSPIN 70, 90 and HYGHSPIN 125. The maximum conveying flow rate is approximately 20 m3/h, the pressure difference in the standard version is set at a maximum of 10 bar. Users can rely on the tried and tested HYGHSPIN advantages with all the HYGHSPIN pumps. The pumps comply with the design principles for hygienic design and are made entirely of stainless steel. The non-contact running conveyor screws guarantee an absolutely gentle and pulsation-free conveying. All elastomers which come into contact with the product are designed to be cleaned simply as FDA-compliant form rings.
